Yoon & Kim LLP PartnerCHARLES M. YOON Charles Yoon has over 18 years of experience in the areas of domestic and international litigation and arbitration. He has prosecuted and/or defended broad array of commercial disputes, director & officer liability cases, professional malpractice claims, insurance/fidelity bond claims, and maritime claims. Mr. Yoon's representative experience includes serving as an arbitrator on a $40 million International Chamber of Commerce arbitration in Tokyo, Japan and prosecuting a law firm for legal malpractice resulting in a $24 million payment. He also prosecuted numerous breach of contract and tort claims and successfully defended numerous cases brought against Korea-based conglomerates and their U.S. subsidiaries. Mr. Yoon was previously a partner at the law firms of Thelen Reid & Priest LLP and Hodgson Russ LLP. Mr. Yoon received his B.A. from Columbia College and his J.D. from Columbia Law School. Mr. Yoon is the President of the Korean American Lawyers Association of Greater New York and is the Co-Chair of the Solo and Small Law Firm Committee of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association. Mr. Yoon regularly lectures on litigation and other legal topics at national and international conferences. Mr. Yoon is fluent in Korean. |
